Eric D. Jones has thirty-four years of real estate investment and capital markets experience. Mr. Jones is responsible for the firm’s operations management and business development including investment strategy development, deal origination, underwriting, and portfolio management. Transaction experience totals $5.6 billion.
Mr. Jones spent 11 years at Citibank and GE Capital where he developed his value-investing skill set. After leaving GE Capital and since June 2000, Mr. Jones has been instrumental in building a private equity real estate platform applying the Dome Equities business model during which time origination volume has totaled $4.1 billion.
At Citibank, Mr. Jones was a Vice President where he was employed for nine years, six of which were focused on real estate related investment activities including private equity investing and the trading of Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities.
Mr. Jones spent four years in Citicorp Securities directly involved in the trading, structuring or underwriting of CMBS during which time primary issuance and secondary trading totalled $1.5 billion.
Mr. Jones spent two years in The Citibank Private Bank's private equity co-investment platform with numerous investment responsibilities, including serving as portfolio manager for the department’s first private equity fund. The private bank platform was the genesis of Dome.
At GE Capital his focus was on new business development with the objective of creating investments in real estate sectors where the GE’s investment activity was limited. Projects included a single tenant net lease program and the privatization of military housing.
Mr. Jones holds a M.B.A. in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Management from Binghamton University. Mr. Jones holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
